Terms of Service

Last updated July 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ReqKey — our API key management, credit metering, and API monitoring platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

ReqKey provides tools to issue and validate API keys, meter usage with credits, manage consumers and plans, and monitor API traffic. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves; material changes that reduce core functionality on a paid plan will be communicated in advance.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for safeguarding your credentials — including root keys and API keys issued through ReqKey. Notify us immediately at support@reqkey.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ReqKey to:

  • Break the law or violate the rights of others.
  • Probe, disrupt, or overload the service or other customers (including denial-of-service traffic that is not legitimate API usage).
  • Resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
  • Reverse engineer the platform except where the law permits it regardless of this clause.

4. Plans, billing, and credits

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Usage-based charges and credit purchases are billed as consumed or purchased. Prices are listed on our pricing page; we will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price increase affects an existing subscription.

Credits meter API usage on your keys. Credits have no cash value outside the service. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

5. Availability

We work hard to keep ReqKey fast and available, but the service is provided "as is" without a guaranteed uptime level unless you have an Enterprise agreement that includes an SLA. Planned maintenance will be scheduled to minimize disruption where practical.

6. Your data

You retain all rights to the data you send to ReqKey, including request logs ingested for analytics. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service — storing, processing, and displaying that data back to you. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Termination

You may stop using ReqKey and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, or fail to pay amounts due. After termination we may delete your data following a reasonable retention window, except where the law requires longer retention.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReqKey and its suppliers disclaim all implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use ReqKey after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
